Opening Presents Christmas Eve

The boys got to open one a few presents Christmas Eve. They each got a new pair of pajamas. They also gave presents to each other. They love the dollar store, and that's where they purchased presents for each other.

Christmas Eve Tradition

Craig and Carmie invited us over to make gingerbread houses and lunch.

We had a blast making the houses. Brennan enjoyed building and creating... Caleb mostly enjoyed eating candy!

Derek was battling the stomach flu, so he had to stay home with Clint. We really missed not having them there with us.

Dennis and Alma Visiting Syracuse

It was such a treat to have Alma and Dennis stay one night at our house. They came to Utah for Sylva Golightly's funeral on Wed. January 11, 2012.

Sylva Stocks Golightly
1920 ~ 2012

Sylva Stocks Golightly died peacefully in the loving arms of her husband Orrin David Golightly on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the age of 91. Sylva was born June 26, 1920 in Preston, Idaho to Henry Stocks and Vinnie Catherine Dopp. She grew up on the family farm and married her sweetheart in the Logan Temple on June 26, 1940.Her life was an example of service and devotion as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, neighbor, and daughter of God. Sylva valued education and was High School Valedictorian. She returned to school after having 10 children to become a nurse. She will be remembered for her wit and loving generosity. She loved the Savior and was an active member of the LDS church. Orrin and Sylva served a proselyting mission in Deluth Minnesota.Sylva was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 6 sisters, 2 children Coy Miller and Laura Rowland, 2 son-in-laws Robert Rowland and Delbert Park, and 3 grandchildren. She is survived by her eternal companion, Orrin, and 8 children David (Patty), Janet Park, (Steve Miller), Lucy (Mike) Wernli, Oz (Jaylynn), Paula (Steve) Dison, Sam (Tammy), Dan (Carolee), Vinnie (Haven) Watkins. She left a posterity of 244 including 22 grandsons and 22 granddaughters and their families.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the Val Verda Stake Center, 2651 S. 500 W., Bountiful, Utah. Friends may call from 5:30-8:30 pm on Tuesday evening at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main, and from 11:00-12:45 am at the church prior to services.
