Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun.
One question I can never say no to: "Mom, can we paint?"
It gets me every time.
Brennan is my "neat" painter. His art stays very contained and rarely does he spill anything. He is detailed and meticulous with every piece he creates.
Derek is my free spirit. His art goes everywhere while he grins with delight. My rule of "paint needs to stay on the paper" means little to Derek. I can't wait to see the masterpieces he will create as he grows.
