Lately Derek won't eat noodles that have sauce on them. He calls them "dirty noodles."

I was going on a walk/run with the double stroller with Derek and Caleb. Anytime I'd slow down, Derek would yell, "Faster, mommy, faster!" He's quite the little athletic trainer!

Derek loves eating frozen peas. He's been "sneaking" them out of the freezer. I can't get mad at him for stealing veges, now can I!

Clint was dropping off carpool and when the kids had all gotten out of the car, Derek says, "Brennan is my best friend!"

While we were reading scriptures Brennan says, "I don't think I'll go to the sun. I'll probably go to the moon." I asked him why he didn't think he'd go to the sun (the Celestial Kingdom) and he said, "Because I do bad things sometimes." I then had to explain about baptism and how all his mistakes will be washed away. And because Christ died for us, we can repent and be forgiven. The mistakes can be washed away.
It's amazing what a six-year-old thinks about!

I put Derek in time-out at the end of the hall on his time-out chair. Caleb was in his saucer watching me get ready in my bathroom. After a minute I hear Caleb laughing at someone. I peak around the corner and see Derek right by the saucer, still on his time-out chair. He just moved the chair where he wanted to go and as long as he was sitting on the chair, he thought it would "count".
