Deep Thinker

Brennan had some really deep questions tonight. I was tucking him in to bed and he told me he was worried about some things. So I asked him what he was worried about. With tears in his eyes, he told me that he was worried about getting married. How was he going to know who to marry? We talked about that for a while and I told him that when the time came, that Heavenly Father would help him know who he should marry.

Brennan enjoyed hearing that Clint and I met on our missions in Texas. He asked me, so when you met dad and knew you liked him did you go home and get married or did you finish your mission? I told him that I like daddy as a friend when we were on our missions, but that we didn't know we would get married until we were back in Utah.

His next worry, where was he going to serve his mission. He is a picky eater and he told me that with his taste buds that he's scared he won't be able to eat the foods where he serves his mission. I shared with him some stories form my mission where I ate things I normally didn't like. I also told him about my companion, JJ Shlerf, who ate some of my veges for me. She took them from my plate when our host wasn't looking. I LOVED that girl! She was so nice to eat those yucky veges for me.

After a few stories about my mission, he was calmed down enough to go to sleep.

Brennan's First Cub Scout Daycamp

Brennan had fun at his first Cub Scout Daycamp on July 14th. Clint was able to go with him and they had a blast! They attended Camp Fife.

21 boys were able to attend the camp from our ward.

Day Two With Five Boys

July 12: All of the boys enjoy painting. They had a blast creating their own little frames. Dallin told me the photo he wanted to put in the middle was a picture of a "rose."

The boys created a complete river system in the sandbox complete with bridges, dams and volcanoes.

Different Day... Same Activities

June 13: We started the day with painting. Derek and Dallin got to paint while Kolby and Brennan went to the pool. They are both creative souls!

The day ended in the usual wrestling match on the trampoline.

Clint started a fire so the boys could roast marshmallows and woof-ems.

The boys were all in withdraw from Montana where we had a campfire 

at LEAST once a day.

Brennan's Tennis 2011

Brennan is taking beginning tennis lessons this summer. He is really enjoying it. I'm super glad because now I have a partner to play with :)  He'll be taking lessons in July as well.

Caleb LOVED running around and picking-up the tennis balls.
